Polish President Karol Nawrocki has embarked on a three-day official visit to the Philippines, aiming to bolster political, economic, and technological ties between the two nations. Accompanied by First Lady Marta Nawrocka, President Nawrocki’s visit underscores the commitment to enhancing bilateral relations.
During the trip, President Nawrocki is scheduled to meet with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for discussions on potential areas of cooperation. The dialogue is set to cover a range of topics, reflecting the mutual interest in strengthening relations between Poland and the Philippines.
Significantly, President Nawrocki will participate in the 5th Polish-Philippine IT Business Summit. This event is expected to provide a platform for exploring further collaboration in the technology sector. Additionally, he will engage with participants of a Polish-Philippine hackathon to foster innovation and partnership.
The visit also includes meetings with representatives from both Polish and Philippine businesses, aiming to identify opportunities for expanding economic ties. Such engagements are crucial for facilitating stronger economic cooperation between the two countries.
In an effort to connect with the local academic community, President Nawrocki plans to visit the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. Here, he will engage with students and discuss the importance of educational exchanges and cultural understanding.
Concluding his visit, President Nawrocki will tour the Col. Jesus Villamor Air Base, where Black Hawk helicopters, manufactured by Poland’s PZL Mielec and acquired by the Philippine Air Force, are stationed. This visit highlights the ongoing defense cooperation and shared strategic interests between Poland and the Philippines.
